We acknowledge Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  Who, for more than 50,000 years, have been the Traditional Custodians of the lands, waterways  and skies across Australia. 

For the Cairns local region, we acknowledge the Traditional Owner groups on whose land we dance today, the Yirrganydji, Djabugay, Gunggandji and Yidinji people.  We pay respect to their Elders past, present and future, and offer our friendship and kindness.
