Foundations classes

Classes focusing on:

  • Joy and fun first!

  • Verbal instruction, breaking down the moves

  • Drilling - learning through repetition

  • Developing foundational mastery and confidence

  • Foundation moves, basic combinations & formations

With a focus on technique, the Foundation course/classes will provide you with an opportunity to really soak up the details and immerse yourself in this dance style. Classes are suitable for new and returning foundation dancers. From a technique perspective, it's a level up from the choreo based Tribal Grooves class, while still being a safe space to have fun and blossom at your own pace. For dancers who were ‘curious’ and now want more! More dance joy, more depth, more sparkle!

Intermediate/Advanced (Invitation only)

Focusing on adding more juicy layers of this dance

  • Zilling

  • Musicality

  • Complex prop work and formations

  • Leading with confidence

  • Performance prep

  • Relaxing into the dance

  • Shining your bright creative light

  • Developing mastery of the GCTB repertoire of moves and complex formations

  • Sharing your passion for this dance.  Displaying leadership and supporting other dancers within our local tribe.

At this level dancers have usually developed an absolute love of the dance and have embraced all that the dance has to offer.  The dance has become a core pillar in their life and they are devoted to the format.  Dancers have developed personal dance aspirations and goals and continue to learn at their own pace.

  • Bring a water bottle.

  • The studio map visible on the contact page.

  • Tribal Bellydance is a moderate intensity workout.  It is not considered high impact on your joints.
